  • Sod & Stubble Historical Bike Ride

    Sunday Sept. 21

    Ride starts at 2 PM at the Downs Cemetery.

    NCK Outdoors is excited to host a community bike ride exploring the historic places featured in the novel and movie, Sod & Stubble.

    Join us for a scenic family friendly cruise through our beautiful region!

    This free event is open to riders of all skill levels.

    John McClure will lead the 12-mile ride (8 to 10 stops) and share historical information about each stop.

    Drinks will be available at some stops. Bring your bike in good working condition, helmet, water & light snack.

  • Walk for Life & 5K Run

    Oct 5th @ 3pm Chautauqua Park, Beloit, Ks

    This is an annual fundraising event directly benefiting Heart Choices Pregnancy Resource Center.

    Registration at 2:30pm. Registration is $30, which includes a free T-shirt if registered by Sept 19th.

    Starting @ 3pm the 5k walk and 5K run, along with a 1 mile walk for life.

    Starting at 4:15pm Kids races, with age groups 5 and under up to age 12, and require $5 registration at the event.

    There is a free will donation for the meal.

    The public is invited to Bring your lawn chairs and listen to music while cheering on the runners and walkers.

    Prizes and medals will be awarded for Runners and kids races.

    Hays area residents are invited to join the fight to end Alzheimer’s by participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®

    Saturday, October 4 FHSU Quad (East side of Memorial Union).

    The Walk site opens at 9:00 a.m., the Promise Garden Flower Ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m. and walking begins immediately following the ceremony.
