• After much prayer and reflection, we believe this is the right time to take a step that strengthens Christian radio for the future. As financial needs have grown in recent years, we felt a responsibility to find a more sustainable path forward.

  • This decision came through months of prayer, discussion, and careful consideration by both our board and staff. It was not made quickly, but with a shared desire to be faithful stewards.

  • Yes. Both our board and staff are united in this decision and believe it is the right step for the long-term health of the ministry.

  • Yes. We carefully explored multiple paths forward. After weighing those options, we believe this transition best supports long-term ministry impact and sustainability.

  • Like many ministries, we have seen rising costs over time. While God has faithfully provided through generous supporters, sustaining operations has required increasing levels of support. Our desire is that this transition helps ensure the ministry can continue in a more sustainable way.

  • Yes. In fact, in some areas, coverage and outreach may even expand as ministries combine efforts.

  • The stations will transition to Great Plains Christian Radio, you may know them as KJIL and KHYM.

  • They share a commitment to Christian broadcasting, biblical teaching, and encouraging listeners in their faith. Their mission closely aligns with ours.

  • Yes and no; KJIL and KHYM play the much of the same music, and much of the same programming, but times, programs, frequencies and personalities will change.  The heart of the station however, encouraging listeners and sharing the Gospel, will continue.

  • Yes. Great Plains Christian Radio has a strong commitment to serving local communities, and that focus will continue. It may not be in all the same ways, but we know they’re committed to serving our local communities.

  • Our staff are here throughout the transition, but we are seeking God for our next steps. Please be in prayer for each of us.

  • All donations given to this ministry remain here and have already been used to support the work of Christian radio in our communities. We don’t currently have an excess of funds from our last Sharathon.

  • No. Financial information, donation history, and payment details will not be shared unless you request.  However we will be sharing a mailing list with Great Plains, so that you have the opportunity to stay informed with what’s happening in the future.

  • Yes. Your support remains important as we continue operating and finish this season of ministry well, but we will stop accepting donations at the end of the transition process.

  • After the transition, you will have the opportunity to support Great Plains Christian Radio if you feel led to do so. We would certainly encourage you to continue to invest in local Christian radio!

  • All current commitments will be honored through the transition. We will work directly with anyone affected to ensure a smooth process.  If you have a day sponsor, or have prepaid for underwriting past the month of May, please reach out to us if you haven’t heard from someone yet!

  • Charitable contributions are generally non-refundable, as they are used to support the ministry at the time they are given.  Please contact us if you feel you have a special case, or need an issue addressed.

  • Please pray for wisdom, unity, and a smooth transition. We also ask for prayers that lives will continue to be impacted through Christian radio for years to come.
